However, Samuel Strauch went a step further, and created his own real estate company in 2002, going against what everyone was saying about how bankruptcy was a real risk and that his family’s business was growing fast.

The visionary businessman that was Mr. Strauch did not want to stay in his family’s shadow, só he founded the Metrik Real Estate company. At first, the decision seemed like an ingenious one, and he feared the risk of bankruptcy as the real estate market was punishing if you do not know what you are doing. Through intense research of the market and studying the best available paths to raise his company to success, Samuel Strauch noticed that he could gather a group of international clients and investors to form his partners and start developing properties at the city of Miami, which was being transformed into a metropolitan center at that time.

The timing was perfect, and the Metrik Real Estate skyrocketed and became one of the strongest local companies in the market. According to the entrepreneur himself, the thing that helped him the most with his success is seeking win-win situations with his clients, always.

The Many Endeavors Of Alexandre Gama

Alexandre Gama was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 1, 1958. He is an entrepreneur and a creative professional in the areas of communications and advertising. Gama is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Neogama (one of the top twenty Brazilian advertising agencies).

Alexandre was the first Brazilian to lead a global network of agencies as Global Chief Creative Officer of the British based agency network, BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty).

He, also, is the only Brazilian member of The Publicis Groupe Global Creative Board which is a committee of six agency leaders responsible for implementing creative strategies and the planning of innovations of new initiatives in the creative industry.

Gama’s educational background include him earning his degree in Advertising and Communications from Armando Alvarez Penteado Foundation (FAAP). His career began in 1982 as a Copywriter at Ogilvy and Mather Advertising Agency. In 1990 he moved to DM9 Advertising Agency as a Copywriter and Creative Director where he remained for four years. During that time, Gama was the most awarded Brazilian copywriter of his generation. Some of his other employment opportunities include Almap BBDO as a Creative Executive Director and Young and Rubicam as CEO and CCO. Gama left Young and Rubicam in 1999 to start his own agency, Neogama.

Neogama, a British Advertising Agency, was the fastest growing agency in the first three years of operation. In addition, Neogama was the first Brazilian Advertising Agency to win a Lions Award at the Cannes Festival. Such awards recognize the most creative work worldwide and establishes one as an elite.

Between 1999-2016, Alexandre Gama won numerous other advertising / communications awards, both individually and corporately as well. Gama, also, has an interest in music and founded The VIOLAB project which include a recording studio, a record label, a radio program, and a YouTube channel where Brazilian musicians are promoted.
